The Landscape Ornament Company supplies garden ornaments to discriminating clients who care about quality and style and are looking for something out of the ordinary.
Timeless designs from the celebrated landscape architect Michael Balston together with contemporary artists and sculptors make up an inspired range of stone, timber, earthenware and willow & wire products.
LOC ornaments are handmade to order by a dedicated team of craftsmen, with materials which ensure they will last in all climates for generations; whilst items from the Natural Stone Collection are individually carved by the talented and experienced APS Masonry team in Oxford.
Many of our products can be adapted to personal specifications and one-off and specially commissioned pieces are also undertaken either to designs produced by others or, if preferred, to our own designs.
Our range of ornaments can be divided into 4 sections:
Sculptures, Fountains & Plaques, Containers and Furniture, to which new products are being added all the time.
In addition to the standard LOC range, we have our Natural Stone Collection, an exquisite range of natural stone products designed and made in association with APS Masonry of Oxford.
Most are available in either a Bath or Portland stone finish. The Walnut , however, comes in its own nutty-coloured finish and as regards the finish of the Strawberry we like to think more in terms of thick yellowy clotted cream!
The sculptures are frost-proof and can be kept outside all year. They age naturally and over a period of time attract native lichens and mosses, thus allowing them to blend perfectly into their surroundings.
Stonework for fountains is a speciality.
The Triton Mask and Lion Mask, with or without the Shell Basin, have both been designed as fountain heads, although they are equally striking used as wall features. And if it is something purely decorative you are after, then look no further than our Daffodil Plaque.
The most popular finish for these features is Bath or Portland stone, but the masks are also available in a very effective lead, bronze or verdigris finish.
Among our range of reconstituted stone urns and containers is the Wedhampton Basin. An imposing one metre in diameter, it is supplied with or without handles and works well as a water feature.
Our attractive range of hand thrown Terracotta Pots & Pans will bring a touch of the Mediterranean to a garden. They are made exclusively for The Landscape Ornament Company in a unique clay formula that has a soft, sun-bleached appearance.
The optional addition of a lid and the two contrasting styles of the two Octagonal Urns allow great flexibility of design and function.
