Puthall Park Sculpture Show 2008 Marlborough, Wiltshire Sunday 2 to Sunday 16 November 2008 11am - 4pm Open Tuesdays to Sundays
Wrap up warm and wear your wellies as you enjoy sculptures in the dramatic autumnal landscape at Puthall Park’s third biennial show hosted and organised by Melissa.
Set amidst the spectacular rolling hills and woodland of the Marlborough Downs, Puthall Park Sculpture Show returns this autumn features an exhibition of contemporary sculpture by selected professional artists on a working arable farm and is building on its reputation as a major event for anyone wishing to experience or buy contemporary outdoor sculpture.
Featuring a wide range of large-scale sculptures and installations in an outdoor setting, the exhibition includes over 100 pieces by 40 professional and developing artists working in a variety of media, including: ceramics, glass, metal, stone, wood, plastic and concrete.
Smaller works will be shown in the established Shed Space Gallery on site and there will be the opportunity to hear about the artists work and sculpture in a series of ‘Talks and Walks’ with some exhibiting artists including Lucy Strachan and Dick Budden
Supported by Kennet District Council, Puthall Park Sculpture Show is located on a beautiful five-acre Crown Estate site near Marlborough. Parking and admission are free, and visitors are welcome to wander at their leisure through the farmhouse walled gardens, gallery, artist blacksmiths' studio and paddocks.
Light refreshments will be available and profits from these will go to The Children’s Liver Disease Foundation.
