The Ridgeway Paul Mossman Pottery for hand thrown stoneware pottery was established in Sheffield in 1994. The giant pots are all guaranteed frost proof making them ideal for garden design.
The craft pottery body is fired to stoneware temperature 1260 C, making it totally non porous. The glazes I use for the handmade, frost proof giant pots are for aesthetic purposes only.
The hand thrown kitchenware and handmade dinner services is oven proof against any means of cooking.
All the craft potteryIS DESIGNED BY MYSELF At Paul Mossman Pottery Ridgeway, I use an old Victorian wheel used for throwing pottery in Chesterfield, home to myself and the famous Brampton Potteries, but I now fire in electric kilns for the convenience of family life. The old bottle kilns of yesteryear have long gone but the skills of the potter are very much alive and kicking.
