Description
Francis Byrne graduated at Essex University in1976 in art history and theory and works in conjunction with his son Ryan who graduated at University of Hertfordshire 2005 in digital modelling.

Ryan designed the knight from a concept by Francis. Francis comes to garden furniture from a welding core base and seeks to feature the contrast of textural organic plant forms against the smooth hard edged steel. He has various planters in the design stage.

Our first garden sculpture the knight planter is illustrated and is priced at £1,650 installed within a 150 mile radius.It's made from mostly 3mm laser cut mild steel . The base and knight are both coated in durable twin pack coating.  The planter is 30cm deep so provides the root growth for a wide range of plants. it's 2m high 70cm wide and 90cm deep. The addition of plants including climbers gives the sculpture  an organic life of its own. I like the interplay between  gentle plant forms and the strident  steel planes.

This  sculpture is available in different sizes which is an advantage of a computer generated design.
