Description
Christine Baxter first studied under Mike Gillespie who was Epstein's assistant.  She then studied at Camberwell School of Art.  She has loved drawing since a child and was encouraged by her grandfather who was a trained woodcarver to take and interest in 3D work.
 
She had her first one man show in Gonville and Caius College Cambridge at the age on 19 with a series of portrait busts and drawings.
 
After a period working for Disney and other licenced character companies she has been producing her own work for galleries and gardens for the last 10 years. As well as completing several public works,  she exhibits at various open gardens, shows and also sells through her website.  www.artstonesculputure.com  

She is also involved in a new venture with her painter partner Alex Brown, teaching Art, Painting and Sculpture in France - http://www.painting-and-sculpture-holidays-france.co.uk/
